Year 3 Loves Camping
Year Three students enjoyed their first overnight camp at Numinbah Valley Environmental Education Centre. They participated in Freshwater Studies where they caught a variety of fresh water creatures and Creature Feature which involved identifying bird calls, and Gabby the snake. The students participated in Bush Cooking programs where they lit wood fires, boiled the billy and cooked damper. One of the many highlights was a nigh walk with ‘glow fungi’. The camp teachers and other staff favourably commented on the excellent behaviour of our students and their inquisitive nature and thought provoking questions. We are all proud of their enthusiasm, industry, effort and willingness to learn and enjoy themselves in a different environment. Our 2011 Year 3 students are already talking about this coming event

Mudgeeraba State School holds a Spring Fair on the last day of third term every year. Students and their teachers create their own class stall, marketing strategy, advertising and manage the selling of produce on the day. This is an excellent learning experience. A wonderful day was had by one and all this year. Our dedicated P & C, along with many parent volunteers, dedicated teachers and students made this a tremendous day. We went on rides, enticed buyers, ate and laughed our way through the day. Thank you for your contributions and participation.
